Location
The lower control panel is installed into the center console.
Tasks
The lower control panel forwards the status signals through operation of the integrated control elements and receives the actuation for the integrated display elements. The volume adjustment button can be used to change the volume level by turning it (upwards or downwards) and, on AMG vehicles, it can switch the head unit on and off by a press of the button, or it can mute the audio source.
The lower control panel receives the following signals:
- Circuit 30t and circuit 31 over the LCP-LIN (LIN A3) from touchpad (A105)
- Actuation of indicator lamps for various buttons over the LCP-LIN from the touchpad
- Actuation of flashing indicator in hazard warning system button over a direct line from the front SAM control unit (N10/6)
The lower control panel sends the following signals:
- Actuation of integrated controls over the LCP-LIN to the touchpad
- Actuation of hazard warning system button via direct line to the front SAM control unit

- AMG ESP® Sport OFF button (AMG vehicles)
- Rear head restraints button
- Button "Seat"
- Sport exhaust system button (AMG vehicles)
