Remove Rear Roof Frame - Ar65.20-P-1008-01LC

The following steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle and must be accomplished analogously on the right side of the vehicle.

1. Mark separating points on rear roof frame (1) (areas A).

   Do not make the cuts too deep

   Otherwise the components below can be damaged and weakened.

   Dimensions: 

   a = approx. 10 mm

2. Expose spot welds and cut out (areas B, C and D).

   Cut out spot welds through two panel thicknesses (areas B and C).

3. Exposed spot welds and cut out (areas E).
4. Heat rear roof frame (1) in repair area.

   Repair area is bonded.

5. Remove rear roof frame (1).

6. Grind bonding surfaces on C-pillar reinforcement (2) down to bare metal in crosshatched areas.

   Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces. Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.
