Prepare Rear Roof Frame For Installation - Ar65.20-P-1008-02LC

MODEL 217.3 

The following steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle and must be accomplished analogously on the right side of the vehicle.

1. Mark separating points on rear roof frame (1) and cut (areas A).

   Do not make the cuts too deep.

   Otherwise the components below can be damaged and weakened.

   Take separation points from vehicle.

2. Grind inner bonding surfaces on rear roof frame (1) down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas (areas B).

   Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.

3. Grind mating surfaces on rear roof frame (1) down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas (areas C and D)
4. Coat mating surfaces on rear roof frame (1) with zinc dust paint (areas C and D).

   Do not coat bonding surfaces with zinc dust paint (areas B).

   Otherwise adhesion problems may occur.
