Install Rear Roof Frame - Ar65.20-P-1008-03LC

MODEL 217.3 

The following steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle and must be accomplished analogously on the right side of the vehicle.

1. Install rear roof frame (1) and fix in place.
2. Drill Ø 6.7 mm rivet holes in rear roof frame (1) (areas A)

   Drill rivet holes through spot welds predrilled during removal.

3. Remove rear roof frame (1).
4. Deburr rivet holes on mounting console (2) on both sides.
5. Remove drilling shavings with wet/dry vacuum cleaner.

6. Apply 2-component adhesive to C-pillar reinforcement (2) and body in crosshatched areas.

   Observe processing specifications of adhesive.

7. Install rear roof frame (1) and fix in place.
8. Rivet mounting console (2) with Ø 6.5 X 12 blind rivets (areas B).

10. Rear roof frame (1) (areas E)

    Inert gas weld in intervals and allow welding area to cool down in between. Reduces heat distortion.

11. Grind inert gas welds down flat (areas E)
