Height Adjustment Of Front Window - AR72.10-P-1950-05LC

CHECK VALUES FOR SIDE WINDOWS

Illustrated on model 207.3 

Check 

  1. Open front door.
  2. Position door lining on left and right front door and connect electrical connectors to front door control unit switch group.
  3. Switch on ignition.
  4. Move side window (1) to upper end position.
  5. Switch off ignition.
  6. Remove electrical connectors on front door control unit switch group and door lining.
  7. Glue adhesive tape (4) to side window (1) as shown.
  8. Mark dimension (a) from rail (2) with caliper gauge (3) on duct tape (4).

    IMPORTANTDimensions: 

    a = approx. 25 mm 

  9. Mark dimension (a) of upper-most edge of side window (1) dimension (b) on adhesive strip (4) and mark line (5) parallel to upper-most edge of side window (1).

    IMPORTANTDimensions: b = 8 mm 

  10. Glue adhesive tape (6) to side window (1) as shown.
  11. Determine dimension (d) from rear edge of side window (1) and mark on adhesive tape (6).

    IMPORTANTDimensions: 

    d = approx. 40 mm 

  12. Mark dimension (d) from upper-most edge of side window (1) dimension (c) on adhesive tape (6) and mark line (5) parallel to upper-most edge of side window (1.

    IMPORTANTDimensions: c = 8 mm 

  13. Close front door.

    IMPORTANT Ensure that side window moves to the upper end position.

  14. Check insertion depth at front top on side window (1).

    IMPORTANT The line (5) on the adhesive tape (4) should coincide with the edge of the trim piece.

    If test results deviate

    Adjust side window (1).

  15. Check insertion depth at front bottom on side window (1).

    IMPORTANT The line (7) on the adhesive strip (6) should coincide with the edge of trim piece.

    If test results deviate

    Adjust side window (1).

    Adjust 

  16. Insert screwdriver (11) between door paneling (12) and side window (1) into adjustment screw (arrow C) on front mount (14) of power window (13) and adjust height of window (1) by turning adjustment screw (arrow C).

    IMPORTANT Use very long screwdriver T25.

    IMPORTANT Procedure:

    Turning adjustment screw (arrow C) clockwise, lowers side window (1).

    Turning adjustment screw (arrow C) counterclockwise, raises side window (1).

  17. Insert screwdriver (11) between door paneling (12) and side window (1) into adjustment screw (arrow C) on rear mount (15) of power window (13) and adjust height of side window (1) by turning adjustment screw (arrow C).

    IMPORTANT Procedure:

    Turning adjustment screw (arrow D) clockwise, lowers side window (1).

    Turning adjustment screw (arrow D) counterclockwise, raises side window (1).

  18. Open front door.
  19. Position door lining on left and right front door and connect electrical connectors to front door control unit switch group.
  20. Switch on ignition.
  21. To check the settling properties of the side window (1), raise and lower side window several times and then close side window (1).
  22. Switch off ignition.
  23. Remove electrical connectors on right and left front door control unit switch group and door lining.
  24. Close front door.
  25. Perform test again, if required repeat adjustment procedure.
  26. After finishing test and adjustment procedure, remove dust tape (4, 6) from side window (1).
