The following operation steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle on model 217.4.

Clean bonding surfaces.
Adhesive surfaces on body must be free of grease and dust.
Install butyl cord (1, 2) on A-pillar.
Dimensions:

A = approx. 18 cm

B = approx. 13 cm

Clean bonding surfaces.
Adhesive surfaces on body must be free of grease and dust.
Install butyl cord (3, 4) on roof frame.
Dimensions:

C = approx. 8 cm

D = approx. 6.5 cm

Clean bonding surfaces.
The adhesive surfaces on the window seal (7) must be free of grease and dust.
Install butyl cord (5) on window seal (7) in area of mirror triangle below sealing lip.
Dimensions:

E = approx. 2 cm
Install butyl cord (6) on sealing lip on butyl cord (5) already routed.
Dimensions:

F = approx. 10 cm
Install window seal (7) from left to right mirror triangle
Helper required.
