Location 

The inside rearview mirror is located at the front of the headliner in the center.

Task 

The inside mirror serves primarily for monitoring the traffic in the rear.

Depending on the equipment, the components integrated into the inside rearview mirrors allow the following functions:

• Hands-free
• Interior compartment illumination and area around center console
• Garage door opener (with CODE 231 (Garage door opener) or CODE 232 (Garage door opener))
• Inside rearview mirror dimming (with code 249) (Automatically dimming mirror), model 217)
• Mirror taximeter (model 222 with code 338 (odometer in rearview mirror))
