Pressing Out And Drawing In Rear Axle Shaft At Rear Axle Shaft Flange - AR35.30-P-0115-03LF

Press out 

  1. SPECIAL TOOL Attach extraction and insertion tool to rear axle shaft flange.
  2. Screw on nut onto threaded pin.
  3. Screw in threaded pin into threaded rod of SPECIAL TOOL extraction and insertion tool and tighten.
  4. Push out rear axle shaft (37) using SPECIAL TOOL extraction and insertion tool and then remove.

    Inserting 

    IMPORTANT On rear axle shafts (37) which are glued in before installation, clean the rear axle's (37) splined shaft profile and the rear axle shaft flange mechanically.

    In the event of sluggishness, is thread M8 should be cut into the rear axle shaft (37), to then draw this in using the SPECIAL TOOL extraction and insertion tool.

  5. Screw SPECIAL TOOL holder (039) onto shaft journal of rear axle shaft (37) and clamp into vise.
  6. Insert drill bush with Ø 4 mm (detachable) (039a) and lock in place using bolt (039c).

  7. Drill core hole bore to a depth of approx. 20 mm using a 4 mm dia. drill bit (dimension a), cooling and lubricating the drill bit in the process.
  8. Remove drill bush with Ø 4 mm (detachable) (039a) with bolt (039c).
  9. Drill core hole bore to a depth of approx. 20 mm using a 6.8 mm dia. drill bit (dimension a), cooling and lubricating the drill bit in the process.
  10. Precut thread M8 using a thread tap of stage 1 and 2.

  11. Unscrew SPECIAL TOOL bracket (039) from rear axle shaft (37) and clamp in rear axle shaft (37) into vise.
  12. Finish cutting thread M8 with thread tap of stage 3.
  13. Draw the rear axle shaft (37) using SPECIAL TOOL extraction and insertion tool into the rear axle shaft flange.
  14. SPECIAL TOOL Detach extraction and insertion tool from rear axle shaft flange.
