REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Disconnect ground line of battery of 12 V onboard electrical system.   AR54.10-P-0051S 
2 Remove side trim in trunk at right.   AR68.30-P-4800SG

DANGER Risk of fire  /risk of explosion due to short circuit and escaping oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of (burn) injury caused by caustic burns to eyes, skin and mucous membranes from battery electrolyte/mist, short circuit and arcing. Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing battery electrolyte or absorption of lead through the skin or body orifices. Risk of death  due to voltage U >= 30 V AC and U >= 60 V DC. No fires, sparks, open flames, or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing, and glasses. Pour battery acid only into suitable and appropriately marked containers. AS54.10-Z-0001-01A 
3 Remove nut (1) and remove ground line (2) of secondary 12 V on-board electrical system battery from ground point. Model 223

Notice  Notes on the use of paint scraping nuts on ground connections   AH00.19-P-1000-20A
    NOTES Cover connector of ground line (2) in order to prevent an unwanted ground connection.
Otherwise there a risk of short circuit when removing the rear pre-fuse box (F150/5).
 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Emergency start battery, ground point *BA00.19-P-1060-01N 
4 Remove fuse and relay module in rear and place to one side with the lines connected.   AR54.15-P-0001S 
5 Remove electric lines (3) from rear pre-fuse box (F150/5). IMPORTANT The number of electrical lines (3) varies depending on the vehicle equipment.
The connections of the electric lines (3) are shape-coded.
 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Nut, positive terminal to rear pre-fuse box *BA54.15-P-1004-01J 
6 Remove nuts (4).    
7 Remove holder (5) with rear pre-fuse box (F150/5) and turn over.    
8 Release and disconnect electrical connector (6).    
9 Unscrew screws (7) and remove rear pre-fuse box (F150/5) from holder (5).    
10 Install in the reverse order.
