When sealing seams we differentiate between:
- smoothing/wiping (A)
- sealing/spreading (B)
Area of front end and A-pillar
Complete side wall area
Area of underfloor and wheel well
- Seal connecting flanges and riveted joints of repaired area with seam sealing material.
Observe standard sealing.
Seal only primed body parts.
Ensure that the threads on the weld nuts and threaded bolts as well as the drain openings in the contact surfaces for the axle attachments, pulleys or detachable parts are kept free of seam sealing material.
Accessible connecting flanges must be sealed on both sides.
- Insert stop plugs and grommets with seam sealant material.
