Rear Fender Complete Preparation For Installation - Ar63.50-P-1401-02SZ

Model 223.9 

The next steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle for model 223.9 and must be performed in the same way on the right side of the vehicle in the event of damage.

The superordinate service document as well as the safety information in the service document must be observed.

1. Mark the separating points on the rear fender (1) (areas A, B and C).

   Transfer separating point from vehicle and add approx. 50 mm for fitting.

2. Separate the separating points on the rear fender (1) (areas A, B and C).

3. Grind mating surfaces on rear fender (1) down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas (areas D).

   Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal on both sides (areas D). Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.

4. Grind mating surfaces on rear fender (1) down to bare metal in crosshatched areas.

   Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal on both sides (areas E). Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.

5. Remove grinding dust and drill chips.
