Inner Side Wall Insulation Repair - Ar63.50-P-1401-04SZ

Model 223.9 

The next steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle for model 223.9 and must be performed in the same way on the right side of the vehicle in the event of damage.

The superordinate service document as well as the safety information in the service document must be observed.

Use component part A 223 682 55 01 as per the parts information system to prepare replacement material (3).

1. Cut out damaged area of insulation (2) on inner side wall (1) and remove.
2. Cut replacement material (3) to size and adapt.

   Cut replacement material (3) to size in line with removed area of insulation (2).

3. Model 223.9

   with full repair of insulation (2)

   Fill in filler foam (4) in removed area of insulation (2) and allow to harden.

   The curing time is approx. 3 to 4 h.

4. Model 223.9

   with full repair of insulation (2)

   Cut hardened filler foam (4) to size and adapt to contour of inner rear fender.

      with partial repair of insulation (2)

      Glue on replacement material (3) in area where insulation was removed (2).

      with full repair of insulation (2)

      Glue replacement material (3) onto filler foam (4) that was cut to size.
