Inner Rear Wheel Well End Plate Remove - Ar63.10-P-6070-05S

The following operation steps are shown on model 223.1 partially on the left side of the vehicle and must be similarly performed on the right side of the vehicle in the event of damage.
The superordinate service document as well as the safety information in the service document must be observed.
- Expose self-pierce rivets at wheel well cover plate (1) and drill off with Ø 6 mm (areas A).
- Expose spot welds at wheel well cover plate (1) and cut off (areas B).
- Expose screws (11) at wheel well cover plate (1) and remove.
- Bend open sheet metal lug in direction of arrow.
- Expose spot weld at bracket (2) and cut off (areas C).

- Heat bracket (2) in cross-hatched areas.

Cross-hatched areas are bonded with adhesive.
- Remove holder (2).

- Mark separating point on wheel well cover plate (1) and cut (area D).
Right side of vehicle.
Do not cut too deeply.
Otherwise the components below can be damaged and weakened.

- Heat wheel well cover plate (1) in cross-hatched areas.
Cross-hatched areas are bonded with adhesive.
- Remove wheel well cover plate (1).
- Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.
Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.

- Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.
