Model 223.0/1/9 

The next steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle for model 223.1 and must be performed in the same way on the right side of the vehicle in the event of damage.

The superordinate service document as well as the safety information in the service document must be observed.

1. Cut out spot welds on front crossmember (1) (areas A).
2. Remove mounting support from front crossmember (1).

3. Grind mating surfaces on front crossmember (1) down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.

   Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.

4. Grind mating surfaces on front crossmember (1) down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.

   Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.

5. Remove grinding dust.
