Floor Below Rear Seat Removal - Ar63.40-P-1205-01S

Model 223.0/1/9 

IMPORTANT The following steps are shown on model 223.1 on the left side of the vehicle and must be performed in the same way on the right side of the vehicle. The superordinate service document as well as the safety information in the service document must be observed.

  1. Expose self-piercing rivets on floor under rear seat (1) and drill off with ø 6 mm bit (area A).
  2. Expose spot welds on floor under rear seat (1) and drill off with ø 6.5 mm bit (areas B).
  3. Expose screws (2) on floor under rear seat (1) and remove.

  4. Expose spot weld on floor under rear seat (1) and drill off with ø 6.5 mm bit (area C).
  5. Expose spot welds on floor under rear seat (1) and cut off (areas D).
  6. Expose screws (3) on floor under rear seat (1) and remove.
  7. Heat floor under rear seat (1) in cross-hatched areas.

    IMPORTANT Cross-hatched areas are bonded with adhesive.

  8. Heat floor under rear seat (1) in cross-hatched areas.

    IMPORTANT Cross-hatched areas are bonded with adhesive.

  9. Remove floor under rear seat (1).
  10. Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.

    IMPORTANT Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.

  11. Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.

    IMPORTANT Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.

  12. Remove grinding dust and drill chips.
