The following steps are shown on component parts on the left side of the vehicle and must be performed in the same way on the right side in the event of damage.

The superordinate service document as well as the safety information in the service document must be observed.

1. Prepare mating surfaces on C-pillar (1) in cross-hatched areas for bonding.

   Grind mating surface on outside down to bare metal (area A).

   Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.

2. Remove grinding dust.

3. Prepare mating surfaces on reinforcement (2) and lock striker reinforcement (3) in cross-hatched areas for bonding.

   Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.
