B-Pillar Mounting Support Removal - Ar63.20-P-1350-10S

Model 223.0/1/9 

The next steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle for model 223.1 with the B-pillar removed and must be performed in the same way on the right side of the vehicle in the event of damage.

The superordinate service document as well as the safety information in the service document must be observed.

1. Drill off self-piercing rivets on mounting support (2) with Ø 6 mm bit (area A).

2. Heat mounting support (2) in cross-hatched areas.

   Cross-hatched areas are bonded with adhesive.

3. Remove mounting support (2).

4. Grind mating surface down to bare metal in cross-hatched area.

   Observe preliminary treatment of bonding surface.

5. Remove grinding dust and drill chips.
