Front Roof Frame Mounting Support Removal - Ar65.20-P-1006-10S

Model 223.0/1/9 

The next steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle on model 223.1 with the roof paneling removed and must be performed in the same way on the right side of the vehicle in the event of damage.

The superordinate service document as well as the safety information in the service document must be observed.

1. Expose spot welds on mounting support (1) and cut off (areas A).
2. Drill off self-piercing rivets on mounting support (1) with ø 6 mm bit (areas B).

3. Heat mounting console (1) in crosshatched area.

   Cross-hatched areas are bonded with adhesive.

4. Remove mounting console (1).

5. Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.

   Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.

6. Remove grinding dust and drill chips.
