	Remove/install
1	Release vacuum in brake booster (3).	To do this, press the brake pedal several times with the engine switched off.
2	Remove brake fluid reservoir (1).		AR42.10-P-0308S
	Clean
3	Clean master brake cylinder (2) in area of connections of brake lines (5).	Before opening the hydraulic system the area around the separation point should be cleaned thoroughly. Otherwise minute particles of dirt in the hydraulic components can result in malfunctions and total failure of the hydraulic system. Only use clean, lint free rags and cleaner free of mineral oil. Do not use any compressed-air for cleaning when the brake system is open.

4	Remove brake lines (5) from master brake cylinder (2). 6	Detach brake lines (5) from hydraulic unit and rotate brake lines (5) to one side. 7	Remove nuts (4).	Nut, brake master cylinder to brake booster	*BA42.10-P-1001-05K
8	Remove master brake cylinder (2) from brake booster (3).	Do not tilt the master brake cylinder (2); pull it forward and in a straight line out of the brake booster (3). Otherwise the push rod will be pressed out of its axial position. Collect brake fluid which runs out with an absorbent rag. Otherwise, the paint will be damaged. Replace sealing ring between master brake cylinder (2) and brake booster (3).

10	Bleed brake system.
