| Remove | |||
| 1 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m). | ||
| 2 | Remove license plate number and license plate bracket. | ||
| 3 | Mask off hatched area (are C) on trunk lid (2). | ||
| 4 | Use extraction hook to pull handle strip (1) out of the trim element (3) (arrow A). | ||

| 5 | Release handle strip (1) from the trim element (3) at the retaining lugs (5) (arrow B). | Fig 1 | |
| 6 | Unclip retaining clips (6) and remove handle strip (1). | ||

| Install | |||
| 7 | Remove adhesive residue on the trunk lid (2) near the adhesive piece (4) and clean bonding surface. | Observe flash-off time for cleaning agent. |

| 9 | Apply new adhesive piece (4) to handle strip (1). | When reusing handle strip (1). | |

| 10 | Remove protective foil from adhesive piece (4). | ||
| 11 | Position handle strip (1) on trunk lid (2) and clip in. | ||
| 12 | Press on handle strip (1) in area of adhesive piece (4). | ||
| 13 | Remove tape (area C). | ||
| 14 | Install license plate bracket and license plate number. |
