	Risk of fire and explosion  caused by ignition of window washing fluid or antifreeze and their vapors. Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing window washing fluid or antifreeze or inhaling their vapors. Risk of injury  or physical irritations caused by contact of window washing fluid or antifreeze with eyes, mucous membranes or skin.	Wear protective clothing and tight-fitting safety glasses. No open flames, fire or ignition sources. Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes and skin. When working with window washing fluids or antifreeze, do not eat, drink, or smoke. Do not inhale vapors and ensure sufficient ventilation in the working area. Store window washing fluid and antifreeze leak-free in safely closed original containers and out of the reach of children. 	Risk of injury  from engine start by remote start function	Prior to starting work, open engine hood, do not reach into rotation range or hazard area of freely rotating parts, wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes	AS00.00-Z-0024-01A
	Injury hazard from pinching and crushing, in extreme cases extremities can even be cut off when caught in windshield wiper mechanism.	When working on the windshield wiper mechanism, always switch off the ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (at least 2 m).	AS82.30-Z-0001-01A
	Preparatory activity
1	Close hood.
2	Close liftgate, doors, sliding sunroof and side windows.
3	switch windshield wiper function on combination switch to position "0" and switch electronic ignition lock control unit to position "0".
	Check/correct
4	Check park position of left windshield wiper blade (1) and right windshield wiper blade (2) on the windshield.	Wiper blade ends must be located at markings "A" and "B" (see arrows) on windshield and they may be offset by no more than 10 mm (0.39 Inch) upwards or downwards. If the ends of the wiper blades deviate from the park position, ↓ Check and adjust wiper arms. After obtaining special order.
5	Switch electronic ignition lock control unit to position "2" (circuit 15).
6.1	Check spray nozzles (4) of windshield washer system on windshield for proper operation and setting by operating the windshield washer system function on the combination switch.	Model 223 except code 874 (MAGIC VISION CONTROL incl. heated windshield washer system) If necessary, use commercially available devices/tools.  Torx® 10 If a spray nozzle (4) is clogged, ↓ clean spray nozzle (4) and/or blow out with compressed air from inside to outside or replace spray nozzle (4). After obtaining special order. If the spray jets do not impact in the marked area on the windshield, ↓ switch windshield wiper function on combination switch to position "0" and switch electronic ignition lock control unit to position "0". Correct the setting of the affected spray nozzles (4) via setting screws (5). Proceed with operation step 5.
6.2	Check spray nozzles of windshield washer system on windshield for proper operation by operating the windshield washer system function on the combination switch while the wiper arms move up and down.	Model 223 with code 874 (MAGIC VISION CONTROL incl. heated windshield washer system) Do not clean spray nozzles with compressed air. Damage can otherwise occur. The spray pattern must be uniform ahead of the wiper blade during the up and down movement. If problems are determined, ↓ switch windshield wiper function on combination switch to position "0" and switch electronic ignition lock control unit to position "0". Clean spray nozzles with cleaning cloth. Proceed with operation step 5. If, despite cleaning, there is no improvement, ↓ Replace wiper blades. After obtaining special order.
7	Spray water onto windshield by operating windshield washer system function for the windshield on combination switch.
8	Switch windshield wiper function for the windshield to highest setting on combination switch.
9	Check deflection of wiper arms on windshield.	The left windshield wiper blade (1) and right windshield wiper blade (2) must not collide with the A-pillar or cowl. Damage can otherwise occur. If problems are determined, ↓ rectify the problems. After obtaining special order.
	Finishing activity
10	Switch electronic ignition lock control unit to position "0".
11	Reset windshield wiper function on combination switch to initial state.
12	Check/correct fluid level of windshield washer system.	Only for service with Plus package.	AP82.35-P-8210I
