| Remove/install | |||
| 1 | Open trunk lid. | ||
| 2 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m). | ||
| 3 | Open flap (1). | ||
| 4 | Release 12 V socket (X58/12x1) using pull-off device (2) and pull out far enough until electrical connector is accessible. | Otherwise, the electric lines will be damaged, which will impair their function. |

| 5 | Disconnect electrical connector from 12 V socket (X58/12x1). | ||
| 6 | Release trim (5) at side in trunk until the catch nut (4) is accessible. | When replacing 12 V socket (X58/12x1). | |
