| Remove/install | |||
| 1 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m). | ||
| 2 | Open trunk lid. | ||
| 3 | First unclip lower trim (1) at retaining clips (2) and then disconnect from trunk lid at clamps (3). | Fig 1 | |
| 4 | Remove lower trim (1) far enough until electrical connector on trailer coupling button (S142/2) is accessible. | ||
| 5 | Release and disconnect electrical connector on trailer coupling button (S142/2). | ||
| 6 | Press catch hooks together (arrows A) and remove trailer coupling button (S142/2) with cover frame (4). | ||
| 7 | Unclip trailer coupling button (S142/2) from cover frame (4) (arrows B). | When replacing trailer coupling button (S142/2). | |
