Notes On Using Tester For Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems - AH40.15-P-0001-01A

Model All

Use

The following testers (1) are available to read out the tire pressure sensors:

Tire pressure sensors from the following system manufacturers can be read out:

Tester (1) requirements

IMPORTANT The tester (1) for tire pressure sensors MB 3000 must be update capable. When using the tester (1) for tire pressure sensors MB 3000 a check should be made to ensure that the latest software release is installed.

NOTES Observe the operator's manual for the tester (1) being used.

An incorrectly used tester (1) may lead to faulty measurements.

Test prerequisites

Observe the following in order to prevent errors when reading out and evaluating the data:

IMPORTANT The remaining battery time can only be read out on the Huf (Beru) tire pressure sensor.

The Schrader WAL 1 tire pressure sensor cannot check the battery status.

IMPORTANT If no or implausible data are output, repeat the measurement; move to a different location if necessary.

Lowering the tire pressure on the car by at least 0.3 bar accelerates the read-out procedure on the Huf (Beru) tire pressure sensor.

NOTES Do not replace tire pressure sensors based on data from the tester (1); an analysis using the diagnostic system must always be conducted here instead.

Otherwise, properly functioning tire pressure sensors may be replaced.
