  1. Route vehicle interior electrical wiring harness (1) as shown from right D-pillar to bottom of sliding door entrance area.

    NOTES Do not kink the vehicle interior electrical wiring harness (1) and ensure it is routed without chafing.

    This prevents damage.

  2. Fasten vehicle interior electrical wiring harness (1) in sections using cable ties to factory-installed electrical wiring harness.
  3. Remove ventilation scoop (16) using SPECIAL TOOL long wedge.
  4. Unscrew nut from right D-pillar ground point (W29/10).
  5. Route ground line (4) from vehicle interior through cable opening in right D-pillar to outside.

    NOTES Do not kink the ground line (4) and ensure it is routed without chafing.

    This prevents damage.

  6. Attach ground line (4) to right D-pillar ground point (W29/10).
  7. Secure ground line (4) to right D-pillar ground point (W29/10) using nut TORQUE SPECIFICATION .
  8. Install ventilation scoop (16).
  9. Attach power supply electrical line (2) of vehicle interior electrical wiring harness (1) to power supply electrical line (9) of liftgate electrical wiring harness.

    IMPORTANT This creates the right tailgate electrical connection 2 (X8/46).

  10. Attach camera electrical line (3) of vehicle interior electrical wiring harness (1) to camera electrical line (8) of liftgate electrical wiring harness.

    IMPORTANT Model 447.8

    This creates the right tailgate electrical connection 3 (X8/56).

    IMPORTANT Model 447.7

    This connects right liftgate electrical connection 4 (X8/57).

  11. Remove shield (15) from sliding door entrance.
  12. Route vehicle interior electrical wiring harness (1) as shown from right D-pillar to bottom of passenger side entrance area.

    NOTES Do not kink the vehicle interior electrical wiring harness (1) and ensure it is routed without chafing.

    This prevents damage.

  13. Fasten vehicle interior electrical wiring harness (1) in sections using cable ties to factory-installed electrical wiring harness.
  14. Install shield (15) on sliding door entrance.

  15. Route vehicle interior electrical wiring harness (1) as shown in passenger-side entrance area.

    NOTES Do not kink the vehicle interior electrical wiring harness (1) and ensure it is routed without chafing.

  16. Fasten vehicle interior electrical wiring harness (1) in sections using cable ties to factory-installed electrical wiring harness.
  17. Install fuse and relay module electrical line (7) in firewall fuse and relay module (K40/11).
  18. Model 447.8

    Route CAN electrical line (5) as shown from passenger-side entrance area to user interface CAN (CAN HMI) potential distributor electrical connector (X30/52) in instrument panel.

    NOTES Do not kink the CAN electrical line (5) and ensure that it is routed without chafing.

    This prevents damage.

  19. Model 447.8

    Secure CAN electrical line (5) section by section to factory-installed electrical wiring harness using cable ties.

    1. Model 447.8

      Install CAN electrical line (5) in user interface CAN (CAN HMI) potential distributor electrical connector (X30/52).

    2. Model 447.7

      Install CAN electrical line (5) in front end CAN (CAN G) potential distributor electrical connector (X304).

  20. Install CAN electrical line (17) in interior CAN (CAN B) potential distributor electrical connector (X301).
  21. Route radio electrical line (6) of vehicle interior electrical wiring harness (1) as shown to radio (Audio) (N87/2) or radio (Audio/COMAND) (N87/6).

    NOTES Do not kink the radio electrical line (6) and ensure it is routed without chafing.

    This prevents damage.

  22. Fasten radio electrical line (6) in sections using cable ties to factory-installed electrical wiring harness.
  23. Attach radio electrical line (6) to radio (Audio) (N87/2) or radio (Audio/COMAND) (N87/6).
