Overview

This document contains information on:

General

The parking system control unit (N62/3) is installed in the footwell on the driver's side on the A-pillar.

Function

The parking system control unit (N62/3) receives the signals from the PARKTRONIC sensors (B8/10 - B8/21), as well as the camera image data from the 360° cameras (B84 - B84/2, B84/36) and the camera for augmented reality (B84/38). This data is processed in the parking system control unit (N62/3) and then made available via the suspension FlexRay (Flex E) to other relevant control units. To assist the driver during the parking procedure, picture data is sent to the head unit (A26/17) and the parking system warning buzzer (H13/4) is actuated in accordance with requirements.

The following input factors and initial parameters are read in or output via direct lines by the parking system control unit (N62/3):

Ground connection

The ground connection for "terminal 31" is implemented via the left vehicle interior firewall ground point (W43/1) on left-hand drive vehicles.

The ground connection for "terminal 31" is implemented via the right vehicle interior firewall ground point (W43/2) on right-hand drive vehicles.

Power supply

The power supply for "terminal 30t" is implemented via the firewall fuse and relay module (K40/11).
