Location
The 360° camera control unit (N153) is located at the left under the instrument panel.
Task
The 360° camera control unit (N153) is responsible for the following tasks:
- Reading in of signals
- Evaluation of signals
- Actuation of components
- Output of signals
Reading in of signals
Signals are read in via the following connections:
- Line for low voltage differential signal (LVDS)
- User interface CAN (CAN HMI)
Line for low voltage differential signal (LVDS)
The picture signals from the following components are read in via a separate LVDS line for each component:
- Front 360° camera (B84)
- Left outside mirror 360° camera (B84/1)
- Right outside mirror 360° camera (B84/2)
- Rear 360° camera (B84/4)
User interface CAN (CAN HMI)
The signals of the following components are read in over the user interface CAN (CAN HMI):
- Instrument cluster (IC) control unit (A1/1)
- Central operating unit (COU) control unit (A40) via interface for radio (Audio/COMAND) (N87/6) and telematics CAN (CAN A)
- Right lower control panel (LCPR) control unit (A40/2) via interface for radio (Audio/COMAND) (N87/6) and telematics CAN (CAN A)
- Touchpad control unit (A40/5) via interface for radio (Audio/COMAND) (N87/6) and telematics CAN (CAN A)
- Audio/COMAND display control unit (A40/8) via interface for radio (Audio/COMAND) (N87/6) and telematics CAN (CAN A)
- Transmission neutral position sensor (B79/2) (with transmission 711.6) via interface for gateway for user interface CAN (N93/4), chassis CAN (CAN E) and CDI control unit (N3/33)

Evaluation of signals
The signals that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the corresponding components are then actuated.
Actuation of components
The 360° camera control unit (N153) supplies each of the 360° cameras with power separately via a LVDS line.
The following components are actuated over the user interface CAN (CAN HMI):
- Audio/COMAND display control unit (A40/8) via interface for radio (Audio/COMAND) (N87/6) and telematics CAN (CAN A)
- Signal acquisition and actuation module (SAM) control unit (N10/1) via interface for gateway for user interface CAN (N93/4) and interior CAN (CAN B)
- Driver assistance systems operating panel control unit (N74) via interface for gateway for user interface CAN (N93/4), interior CAN (CAN B) and signal acquisition and actuation module (SAM) control unit (N10/1)
- Radio (Audio/COMAND) (N87/6)
- Camera cover (KAB) control unit (N144) via interface for gateway for user interface CAN (N93/4) and interior CAN (CAN B)
- Liftgate "OPEN" switch, external operation, reversing camera/360° camera (S202) via interface for gateway for user interface CAN (N93/4), interior CAN (CAN B) and camera cover (KAB) control unit (N144)
Output of signals
The 360° camera control unit (N153) sends the picture signals via a LVDS line to the radio (Audio/COMAND) (N87/6).
