Special functions
The parameterizable special module (PSM) control unit (N26/16) also enables functions in the "Engine" control unit to be influenced.
A number of parameterizable function modules have been implemented for this purpose, to ensure correct operation of the "Engine" control unit.
The control units for gasoline engines do not support the engine functions of the parameterizable special module (PSM). In other words, the engine speed control, speed limit, external engine start and engine stop functions cannot be implemented in vehicles with gasoline or gasoline/gas engines.
Engine speed control function
The engine's rpm can be regulated via the engine speed control function.
Multiple fixed rpms can be specified, and the rpm can also be freely adjusted by means of the pushbutton switches.
For safety reasons, the working speed control function can only be used on a stationary vehicle with the parking brake applied.
Power take-off function
The power take-off function on vehicles with power take-off is used to control activation of the power take-off.
To prevent damage to the transmission, various conditions can be queried.
Speed limit function
The speed limit function can be used to switch on a parameterizable speed limit.
Engine start and engine stop function
The engine start and engine stop functions can be used to start and stop the engine via the parameterizable special module (PSM) control unit (N26/16).
The engine start and engine stop functions are also available when the working speed control is active. If, following an engine stop, the working speed control is deactivated, external engine start is no longer possible. An ignition change is required to reset the engine start and engine stop function.
Parameterizable options for function enablement
There are multiple options in the software that can be used to selectively switch function modules, as well as some functions of these function modules, on or off.
These are available in the individual functions under "Properties".

| Rpm limitation (DZB) | This module defines limits for the limitation of the OSC modules. There is an upward and downward limitation of the rpm specification, an rpm limitation and a torque limitation. This module can also be used without OSC (ADR). |
