Fleet Management System = FMS
Controller Area Network (CAN)
Four CAN bus interfaces are assigned on the parameterizable special module (PSM) control unit (N26/16):
- Bodybuilder manufacturer CAN (CAN ABH), fulfills the FMS v1.0 and ISO11992-2/3 standard.
- Interior CAN (CAN B)
- Multifunction CAN (model 907, 910) or CAN for multifunctions (model 447, 448) (CAN K)
- CAN 2 for user interface (model 907, 910) or user interface CAN 2 (model 447, 448) (CAM HMI2)
The signal pool enables data exchange between the various interfaces and internal modules. For example, a multifunction input can be read in via the "Multifunction inputs" module and a signal can be sent to the interior CAN bus via the "Interior CAN" module. Vice versa, it is possible for a signal from the interior CAN bus to actuate a multifunction output. This requires the corresponding parameterization of the respective internal modules.
All CAN contents can be separated and activated independently of each other by means of parameterization.
Fleet management system
The fleet management system only contains messages to be sent by the parameterizable special module (PSM) control unit (N26/16). These messages contain the following information, for example:
- Vehicle speed
- Engine values
- Driver information
ISO1 1992-2/3
This standard contains send and receive messages. The send messages contain information similar to that for the fleet management system, with the addition of some engine information. The signals received by the parameterizable special module (PSM) control unit (N26/16) are stored in the signal pool and can, for example, be used for working speed control.
Freely assignable messages
The freely assignable messages are output as follows:
- In the sending direction: 6 messages
- MP-CAN_GPM_1H
- MP-CAN_GPM_1I
- MP-CAN_GPM_1J
- MP-CAN_GPM_1K
- MP-CAN_CAN_Hybrid_1
- MP-CAN_CAN_Hybrid_2
- In the reception direction: 6 messages
- ABH-GPM_2H
- ABH-GPM_2I
- ABH-GPM_2J
- ABH-GPM_2K
- ABH-HYBRID_1_IN
- ABH-HYBRID_2_IN
Activation of the freely assignable messages is only possible if the message package ISO-11992-2/3 was also activated. Otherwise, the send messages of the parameterizable special module (PSM) control unit (N26/16) will not be sent.
Structure of messages:
| Name | Description |
|---|---|
| MP CAN-GPM1H | Sends a message with 8-bit, 2 byte and 2 word signals. This message will typically be sent with a cycle time of 100 ms. |
| MP CAN-GPM1I | Sends a message with 8-bit, 2 byte and 2 word signals. This message will typically be sent with a cycle time of 100 ms. |
| MP CAN-GPM1J | Sends a message with 8-bit, 2 byte and 2 word signals. This message will typically be sent with a cycle time of 500 ms. |
| MP CAN-GPM1K | Sends a message with 8-bit, 2 byte and 2 word signals. This message will typically be sent with a cycle time of 1, 000 ms. |
| MP CAN HYBRID-1 | Sends a message with 8-bit, 2 byte and 2 word signals. This message will typically be sent with a cycle time of 10 ms. |
| MP CAN HYBRID-2 | Sends a message with 8-bit, 2 byte and 2 word signals. This message will typically be sent with a cycle time of 10 ms. |
CAN modules:
The CAN modules are subdivided into 11 sub-modules, which supply the send signals at 4 CAN interfaces.
CAN interfaces
The body CAN interface (CAN B) is one of the two CAN interfaces connected to the network.
It has 2 modules for the configuration of the send signals:
- BCAN_Safe_Sendsignale [BCAN_Safe_SendSignals]
- BCAN_Sendsignale [BCAN_SendSignals]
The HMI2-CAN interface (CAN HMI2) is the second CAN interface connected to the network. It has two modules for configuring the sent signals:
- HMI2_Safe_Sendsignale [HMI2_Safe_SendSignals]
- HMI2_Sendsignale [HMI2_SendSignals]
The ACUOLU CAN interface (CAN K) is one of the two CAN interfaces for outfitters and bodybuilder manufacturers.
It has a module for the basic configuration and a module for configuring the send signals:
- ACUOLU_Control
as well as a module for configuring the send signals:
- ACUOLU_Sendsignale [ACUOLU_SendSignals]
The bodybuilder manufacturer CAN interface (CAN ABH) is one of the two CAN interfaces for outfitters and bodybuilder manufacturers.
The bodybuilder manufacturer CAN (CAN ABH) is physically a CAN, but it is currently logically subdivided into two interfaces:
- MP_CAN_Control
- SPV_CAN_Control
MP_CAN_Control:
The basic settings for the bodybuilder manufacturer CAN (CAN ABH) are implemented here, such as the baud rate and which CAN signal packages should be activated.
The MP_CAN_Control interface already offers various CAN signal packages (sending/receiving) for data exchange with body components via CAN ABH.
SPV_CAN_Control:
If the "SPV_CAN" interface is activated, additional CAN signal packages (sending/receiving) are available for the bodybuilder manufacturer.
| Sub-module | Block/module | Description |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | BCAN_Safe_Send signals | Reads the value of the configured signal for sending to the interior CAN (CAN B). Additional tests according to the fault flags of the signals and some plausibility tests are carried out. |
| 2 | BCAN_Sendsignals | Reads the value of the configured signal for sending -. Additional plausibility tests are carried out for some CAN send signals. |
| 3 | HMI2_Safe_Sendsignals | Reads the value of the configured signal for sending to CAN 2 for user interface (model 907, 910) or user interface CAN 2 (model 447, 448) (CAN HMI2). Additional tests based on the fault flags of the signals and some plausibility tests are carried out. |
| 4 | HMI2_Sendsignals | Reads the value of the configured signal for sending to CAN 2 for user interface (model 907, 910) or user interface CAN 2 (model 447, 448) (CAN HMI2). Additional plausibility tests are carried out for some CAN send signals. |
| 5 | ACUOLU_Control | Activates/deactivates and sets parameters of multifunction CAN (model 907, 910) or CAN for multifunctions (model 447, 448) (CAN K). |
| 6 | ACU_OLU_Sendsignals | Reads the value of the configured signal for sending to the multifunction CAN (model 907, 910) or CAN for multifunctions (model 447, 448) (CAN K). |
