Operation With Code CL4 (Multifunction steering wheel with trip computer) 

The left multifunction steering wheel button group (S110) and the right multifunction steering wheel button group (S111) can be used to display various menu levels in the multifunction display (A1/1p13) of the instrument cluster (IC) control unit (A1/1):

• Press the button (1a) or button (1b) briefly  :
  • Scroll through lists.
  • Select menu or function.
  • In the "Radio/Media" menu, open track or station list and select a station, audio track or video scene.
  • In the "Telephone" menu, change to phone book and select a name or telephone number.
  • Press the button (1a) or button (1b) for longer  :
    • Scroll through all lists rapidly
    • In the "Radio/Media" menu, use rapid search to select a station, audio track or video scene.
    • In the "Telephone" menu with open phone book, start the rapid search.
• Button (2):
  • In all menus, confirm selected entry in the list or confirm the display.
  • In the "Radio/Media" menu, open the list of available radio sources/media.
  • In the "Telephone" menu, switch to the phone book and start the dialing operation for the selected number.
• Press the "back" button (3) briefly  :
  • Back
  • In the "Radio/Media" menu, exit the track, station list or list of available radio sources/media.
  • Hide messages in the multifunction display.
  • Exit phone book or redial memory.
• Press the "back" button (3) for longer  :
  • Call up standard display in the "Trip" menu.

All buttons of the left multifunction steering wheel button group (S110) and the right multifunction steering wheel button group (S111) are always installed. However the available functions depend on the equipment of the vehicle.

"Trip" menu 

The following functions can be selected in the "Trip" menu:

• Show standard display.
• Display range and current fuel consumption.
• Display trip computer "After start" or "After reset".
• Display digital speedometer.
• Reset values.

  The following values can be reset:

  • Trip distance
  • Trip computer "After start"
  • Trip computer "After reset"
  • ECO display

"Navi" menu 

Navigation notes are displayed in the "Navi" menu when the function is switched on. With the function switched off, the direction of travel is displayed using the cardinal points of the compass, e.g "Direction of travel N-E" and the street currently being driven along (street names).

"Radio" menu 

Radio stations can be selected in the "Radio" menu.

"Media" menu 

The following functions can be selected in the "Media" menu (depends on equipment installed):

• Change media source.
  • "DISK" (CD/DVD)
  • Memory card ("SD/SDHC")
  • "MEDIA REGISTER"
  • "USB" storage media
  • Bluetooth® audio equipment
• Operate audio drive or data storage medium.
• Operate DVD-video.
• Operate TV (with CODE EM8 (TV tuner))

"Telephone" menu 

The following messages are displayed in the "Telephone" menu: with the function switched on, the name of the selected mobile telephone network and "Telephone ready" are displayed. It is still possible then to scroll through the stored telephone book and select an entry. When the function is switched off the text "Telephone Off" is displayed.

• "Telephone ready" or name of the mobile telephone network provider. The mobile phone has found a network and is ready to receive calls.
• "Telephone No service". No network is available or the mobile phone is searching for a network.

"Assist graphic" menu 

Depending on the equipment installed and activation, the following status indications are shown in the "Assist graphic" menu:

• DISTRONIC PLUS (with code ET4 (Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC))
• Adjusted distance for DISTRONIC (with code ET4 (Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC))
• "COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST" (with code BA3 (Active Brake Assist))
• Blind Spot Assist (with CODE JA7 (Blind Spot Assist))
• Lane Keeping Assist (with CODE JW5 (Lane Keeping Assist))
• Crosswind Assist
• Traffic Sign Assist (with CODE JA9 (Traffic Sign Assist))
• "ATTENTION ASSIST" (with CODE JW8 (ATTENTION ASSIST))

  Call up the "Attention Level" status display by pressing the button (1b). The "Attention level" is shown there.

"Service" menu 

The following functions can be selected in the "Service" menu:

• Call up display messages in message memory.
• Check tire pressure electronically or restart tire pressure monitor (with code RY2 (Tire pressure monitor at front axle and rear axle, wireless))
• Check engine oil level electronically.
• Call up service due date.
• Display coolant temperature.
• Display AdBlue® fill level (with code MB6 (Low-emission vehicle Euro 6 Gr. 1)).

"Settings" menu 

Different functions can be switched on and off in the "Settings" menu.

The following main menus can be selected:

• "Assistance"
• Lights
• "Instrument cluster"
• "Vehicle"
• Reset settings to manufacturer default settings.

Operation without CODE CL4 (Multifunction steering wheel with trip computer) (model 447.6/7) 

The menu button (A1/1s2) and the reset button (A1/1s1) on the instrument cluster (IC) control unit are used to select a menu. Using the button "Instrument, switch and controls illumination, bright" (A1/1s3) and the button "Instrument, switch and controls illumination, dark" (A1/1s4), the menu is changed. All functions are arranged in a list. Using the menu button (press briefly), you can scroll forward through the list. You can jump back with a long press.
