Windshield wiper functions 

Windshield wiper module 

This module must be activated in order to use the windshield wiper functions.

Heat rear window 

Function requirements (AND operation) 

• Module "Windshield wiper functions" has been actively configured.
• "Term15_Actv" is set (1).
• "Term61_Actv" is set (1).

Activation (AND operation) 

• Function input "IN_EBL_On_Rq_MPM" is set.
• "EBL_Stat_HVAC" is set neither to "MAN_ON" nor to "ON_Rq".

Function cancellation (OR operation) 

• Input is withdrawn.
• "EBL_Stat_HVAC" = "LOW_VOLT".
• "LHC_EBL_Rq" ("PN14_STAT") = 1.

Active function 

• Signal "Out_MPM_EBL_On_Rq_MPM" in the signal pool is set (1).

Rear end intermittent windshield wiper switch position 

Activation (AND operation) 

• Function input "WprWash_Rear_Interval" is active.
• "Term15R_Actv" signal is set.
• The status of the signal "WprWash_R_Sw_Posn_V2" (electronic ignition lock (EZS) control unit (N73), "STW_ACTN_Rq") equals OFF. When the signal is set the internal request is canceled.

Function cancellation (OR operation) 

• On the interior CAN (CAN B), the parameterizable special module (PSM) control unit (N26/16) receives the status signal belonging to the function ("WprWash_R_Sw_Posn_V2", "STW_ACTN_Rq"). If this signal is active (not equal to OFF), the PSM control unit cancels the request.
• Klemme15R Terminal15R OFF. The internal request remains active.
• Input is withdrawn.

Active function 

• Only plausible switch positions are sent. The following set signals and internal requests from the wiper control system are canceled.
  • "Out_MPM_WprWash_R_Sw_Posn_Wash_MPM_V2".
• Signal in the signal pool

  "Out_MPM_WprWash_R_Sw_Posn_Interval_MPM_V2" is set (1).

• If the internal request is canceled, the input has to be activated by pressing again.

Parameter 

• None.

Rear end wash windshield wiper switch position 

Activation (AND operation) 

• Function input "WprWash_Rear_Wash" is active.
• "Term15R_Actv" signal is set.
• The status of the signal "WprWash_R_Sw_Posn_V2" (electronic ignition lock (EZS) control unit (N73), "STW_ACTN_Rq") equals OFF. When the signal is set the internal request is canceled.

Function cancellation (OR operation) 

• On the interior CAN (CAN B), the PSM control unit receives the status signal belonging to the function ("WprWash_R_Sw_Posn_V2", "STW_ACTN_Rq"). If this signal is active (not equal to OFF), the PSM control unit cancels the request.
• Klemme15R Terminal15R OFF. The internal request remains active.
• Input is withdrawn.

Active function 

• Only plausible switch positions are sent. The following set signals and internal requests from the wiper control system are canceled.
  • "Out_MPM_WprWash_R_Sw_Posn_Intervall_MPM_V2".
• Signal in the signal pool

  "Out_MPM_WprWash_R_Sw_Posn_Wash_MPM_V2" is set (1).

• If the internal request is canceled, the input has to be activated by pressing again.
