Function sequence for temperature control through controls 

The interior temperature is adjusted using the central operating unit (COU) control unit (N10/16). The central operating unit (COU) control unit is connected through the body manufacturer CAN (MPM CAN) to the warm air stationary heater control unit (with CODE HZ1 (Warm air auxiliary heater with timer and temperature control)) (N33/5). The warm air stationary heater control unit (with CODE HZ1 (Warm air auxiliary heater with timer and temperature control)) receives the 'Heat' request from the central operating unit (COU) control unit. The interior temperature is recorded by a temperature sensor in the B-pillar trim.

This temperature sensor sends the actual temperature to the warm air stationary heater control unit (with CODE HZ1 (Warm air auxiliary heater with timer and temperature control)). A comparison between the specified and the actual temperature in the warm air stationary heater control unit (with CODE HZ1 (Warm air auxiliary heater with timer and temperature control)) is used to control the temperature in the vehicle interior.

Specified value setting for interior temperature The adjustment range lies between 10°C and 40°C.
