- "Out_MPM_FW_MP_Close" = 0
- "Out_MPM_FW_ASF_Marco_Polo_ON" = 0
- "Out_MPM_FW_ASF_Marco_Polo_Open_Close" = "Open"
After the open/close pop-up roof sequence has been completed, thereby opening the pop-out window, the window is for safety reasons not allowed to be closed automatically. Actuation by the user is required to close the window.
Fault monitoring
The inputs "IN_MPM_FW_Open_Rq" and "IN_MPM_FW_Close_Rq" are monitored for exceeding of the maximum operating period of "TO_IN_MPM_FW".
If the maximum operating period is exceeded, the internal signal is canceled. In other words, the close pop-out window function is terminated. An entry is saved in the fault memory. The input is only considered again once the signal has reached the value 0.
After the enabling conditions have been checked, the inputs "Flipper window adjustment_Open" and "Flipper window adjustment_Close" are monitored for exceeding of the maximum operating period of "TO_IN_FW_ADJ".
If the maximum operating period is exceeded, the internal signal is canceled. In other words, the close pop-out window function is terminated. An entry is saved in the fault memory. The input is only considered again once the signal has reached the value 0.
The input "IN_PopUP_Roof_Open" is monitored for exceeding of the maximum operating period of "TO_IN_PU_Open".
If the maximum operating period is exceeded, the internal signal is canceled. An entry is saved in the fault memory. The input is only considered again once the signal has reached the value 0.
The input "IN_PopUP_Roof_Close" is monitored for exceeding of the maximum operating period of "TO_IN_PU_Close".
If the maximum operating period is exceeded, the internal signal is canceled. An entry is saved in the fault memory. The input is only considered again once the signal has reached the value 0.
Line monitoring of inputs "IN_MPM_FW_Open_Rq" and
"IN_MPM_FW_Close_Rq" is conducted by evaluating the assigned multifunction inputs and this must be accordingly coded to the inputs
"IN_MPM_FW_Open_Err_SC" (short circuit to GND),
"IN_MPM_FW_Open_Err_NA" (resistance value not in permissible range) as well as in "IN_MPM_FW_Close_Err_SC" (short circuit to GND),
"IN_MPM_FW_Close_Err_NA" (resistance value not in permissible range).
If the input exhibits a fault, an entry is made in the fault memory and the input is only evaluated again when the fault has been cleared.
Play protection
Play protection is realized through an activity counter.
Function requirements (AND operation)
- "Marco Polo pop-out window" module must be activated
Function description
The activity counter is set to 0:
- when initializing the function, e.g. after control unit reset or wake-up
- OR for an active control unit one hour after the last actuation
At motor actuation ("Out_MPM_ASF_Marco_Polo_On" = 1), the activity counter is increased by the value "Fold_Play_Increae_Factor" at every full second.
If the activity counter is > "Fold_Play_Level1", then for each second without motor actuation ("Out_MPM_ASF_Marco_Polo_On" = 0) this counter is reduced by the value "Fold_Play_Decrease_Factor".
If the activity counter is ≥ upper threshold "Fold_Play_Level2", then play protection is activated ("Out_MPM_FW_Fold_Play_Actv" = 1). The activity counter is not increased any further.
Play protection ("Out_MPM_FW_Fold_Play_Actv" = 0) is reset when the activity counter is ≤ "Fold_Play_Level1".
Configurable parameters are:
- "Fold_Play_Level1"
- "Fold_Play_Level2"
- "Fold_Play_Increase_Factor"
- "Fold_Play_Decrease_Factor"
If "Fold_Play_Level2" is set to 0, play protection is switched off.

This state transition diagram describes the procedure for opening and closing the pop-out window.
The static states are shown in the "Out_MPM_FW_MP_State" signal. For dynamic states, this signal pool signal contains the last static state.
