General
Stationary charging is understood to mean charging at a fixed location, in contrast to charging while driving. Stationary charging of the battery ensures that the battery has a sufficient battery capacity before starting a journey. There are various options for stationary charging for the various on-board electrical systems that are available depending on the vehicle.
Function
12 V on-board electrical system battery
The 12 V on-board electrical system battery can be charged with an external charger.
The 12 V on-board electrical system battery is to be charged using a jump-start connection point.
High-voltage battery (electric vehicles)
Depending on the vehicle equipment, the high-voltage battery can be charged using the charger installed in the vehicle via a service line or a charging station.
