Black 16-pin contact socket (4) of adapter wiring harness (2) to Audio 40 (1).
Connect black 10-pin plug (5) of adapter wiring harness (2) to Audio 40 (1).
Connect component plug (2.1) of adapter wiring harness (2) to component input (2.2) of Audio 40 (1).
Connect black contact socket (3.1) of adapter wiring harness (2) to black plug (3.2) of Audio 40 (1).
Disconnect jack plug (15) for hands-free system microphone from Audio 40 (1).
Secure electric line of jack plug (15) for hands-free system microphone to adapter wiring harness (2) using a cable tie.
The jack plug (15) for the hands-free system microphone of the Audio 40 (1) remains nonfunctional.

Guide electrical lines outward as shown.
This facilitates connecting the electric lines.
Connect black 24-pin plug (8.1) of Audio 40 (1) to black plug holder (8.2).
To do so, move Audio 40 (1) into area of device installation frame.
Connect antenna plug (6.2) of antenna adapter (6) to black antenna connector (6.1) of Audio 40 (1).

Connect green contact socket (7.1) of adapter wiring harness (2) to green plug socket mount (7.2) of reversing camera.
Connect contact socket (9) of antenna for digital radio (DAB) to Audio 40 (1).
Connect green contact socket (10) of GPS antenna to Audio 40 (1).
Connect USB plug (12) to Audio 40 (1).
The USB cover (11) is attached only after the cover for the center instrument panel has been installed.
Connect jack plug (16) of retrofitted hands-free system microphone to Audio 40 (1).
Install Audio 40 (1) into device installation frame.
Make sure that no electric lines and component parts become damaged when inserting Audio 40 (1).

Otherwise, this can cause malfunctions in Audio 40 (1).

Here, guide all attached electric lines in device installation frame toward rear.

Fasten Audio 40 (1) using bolts (13, 14).
Use bolts (13, 14) of previously removed audio components.
