  1. Install holder (1) and attach nuts (2) to threaded pins (3).

    IMPORTANT When doing so, guide threaded pins (3) through openings (arrows) in holder (1).

  2. Install HERMES control unit (N112/9) positively in holder (1).

    IMPORTANT The telematics services communications module control unit is integrated in the HERMES control unit (N112/9).

    IMPORTANT To do so, slide the HERMES control unit (N112/9) far enough into the holder (1) until the retaining tabs (4) engage.

  3. Release the pre-installed electrical plugs (5) from the factory-installed electrical wiring harness.

    IMPORTANT To do so, cut cable tie securing electrical plugs (5) to electrical wiring harness.

  4. Connect electrical plugs (5) to HERMES control unit (N112/9).

    IMPORTANT The number of electrical plugs (5) can vary depending on the vehicle equipment.

    If necessary,

    Strap down excess length of electric lines at HERMES control unit (N112/9) using cable ties.
