1. As shown, bend metal shim (1) by

   approx. 90°.

   Observe dimension (A).

   The metal shim (1) is included in parts kit.

2. Position metal shim (1), as shown, on instrument panel with positive fit and stick in place.

   Bonding area on instrument panel for metal shim (1) must be dry, and free of dust and grease.

   This helps to prevent adhesion problems.

   To do this, remove protective foil at metal shim (1).

3. Position GPS antenna (2) on metal shim (1), as shown, and stick in place.

   To do so, stick double-sided tape on GPS antenna (2) and remove protective foil on tape.

4. Route electric line of GPS antenna (2), as shown, in instrument panel up to installation location of Communication and Navigation System (CNS) head unit.

   Do not kink electric line of GPS antenna (2) and ensure that it is routed without chafing. Prevent damage.

5. Secure electric line of GPS antenna (2) section by section using cable ties at factory-installed electrical wiring harness.

   The green connector socket (3) at the electric line of the GPS antenna (2) is attached during installation of the CNS head unit.
