General 

Depending on the equipment and model, the mobile phone cradle control unit contains the following components:

• NFC antenna
• Connection for another external NFC antenna
• Induction loop for inductive charging
• Antenna for capacitive coupling with the car antenna

The mobile phone cradle control units are installed in the instrument panel, front/rear passenger compartment center console and rear passenger compartment seat backrest areas.

Function 

The mobile phone cradle control unit has the following functions:

• Inductive charging
• Interface for near-field communication (NFC) for Bluetooth® and Wi-Fi authorization
• Interface for near-field communication (NFC) for mobile phone authorization
• Mobile phone connection to vehicle outer antenna (equipment specific)
