Overview 

This document contains information on the tasks, location and structure of the mobile phone cradle control unit.

General 

The mobile phone cradle control unit has the following functions:

• Inductive charging
• Interface for near-field communication (NFC) for Bluetooth® and Wi-Fi authorization
• Interface for near-field communication (NFC) for mobile phone authorization
• Mobile phone connection to vehicle outer antenna (equipment specific)

Location 

The mobile phone cradle control unit is installed in the instrument panel above the media display.

Function requirement 

• Circuit 15R on

Structure 

Depending on the equipment and model, the mobile phone cradle control unit contains the following components:

• NFC antenna
• Connection for another external NFC antenna
• Induction loop for inductive charging
• Antenna for capacitive coupling with the car antenna
