General
The hand detection system control unit (N179) is installed in the steering wheel body below the steering wheel electronics (N135).
Function
The hand detection system control unit (N179) processes the sensor signal from the hand detection sensor (B179) and forwards the processed data to the steering column tube module (MRM) control unit (N80) and the steering wheel electronics (N135).
The following input factors and initial parameters are read in/output by the steering wheel electronics (N135) via direct lines by the hand detection system control unit (N179):
