General

Hand detection sensor (B179) is installed in steering wheel rim.

Function

The hand detection sensor (B179) sends the hand detection sensor signal to the hand detection system control unit (N179). It is processed there and then forwarded to other relevant control units.

The following input factors and initial parameters are read in/output by the hand detection system control unit (N179) via direct lines by the hand detection sensor (B179):
