Location
The Becker® MAP PILOT control unit mount is located in the glove compartment.

Connection of the Becker® MAP PILOT control unit to the vehicle
The Becker® MAP PILOT control unit can be connected via the Becker® MAP PILOT control unit mount. The Becker® MAP PILOT control unit must be inserted into the Becker® MAP PILOT control unit mount by the customer.
Receive signals
- Receiving the power supply, circuit 30g and circuit 31
- Receiving control signals over the telematics CAN (CAN A) by the radio (Audio) (N87/2) (with CODE EN7 (Audio 15))
- Receiving global positioning system (GPS) signals via the GPS antenna (A2/48)
- Receiving FM signals for Traffic Message Channel (TMC) from the FM, AM antenna (A2/51) via the FM, AM antenna amplifier (A2/18), the TMC antenna splitter (A28/13)
Transmitting signals
The Becker® MAP PILOT control unit mount sends signals from the Becker® MAP PILOT control unit to the radio (Audio):
- Transmitting audio signals to the radio (Audio) via a direct line
- Transmitting video signals to the radio (Audio) via a low voltage differential signal (LVDS) line
Becker® MAP PILOT control unit
The Becker® MAP PILOT control unit is ejected from the Becker® MAP PILOT control unit mount by pressing the release pin.
The release pin can be removed. The release pin can be ordered as a replacement part via Mercedes-Benz Accessories.
