The front camera video recording function enables the camera image to be recorded for augmented reality (AR) on a USB storage medium.

Augmented reality: Extending illustrations of the vehicle surroundings to provide additional (in most cases computer-generated) information.

Function requirement 

• USB device is connected to the multimedia system.

Function 

The function is available on a country-dependent basis, depending on the given legal situation.

The augmented reality camera in front of the inside rearview mirror records a video image and makes this available to the multimedia system. The multimedia system stores the video as a video file through the USB interface to a USB storage medium.

The user can start and stop the front camera video recording function through the multimedia system. It can also make the following settings:

• Select single or loop recording mode.
• Warning when crossing over a national border.
• Switch automatic video recording on/off.

The recorded video can be played back on the multimedia system.
