The next steps are shown on model 447 with code T19 (left sliding door) on the left side of the vehicle and must be carried out in the same way on the right side of the vehicle in the event of damage.
- Apply 2-component adhesive to the body (area A).
Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces (area A). Refer to the manufacturer's information for the curing and working times of 2-component adhesive.
- Install C-pillar reinforcement section (1), fit, and fix in place.

Inert gas weld in intervals and allow to cool down in between. Reduces heat distortion.
- Grind MIG weld down flat.
- Clean weld joints.
- Remove shavings.
- Coat weld joints with zinc dust paint.
- Apply 2-component adhesive to the C-pillar reinforcement section (1) (area D).
Observe pretreatment of bonding surface (area D). Refer to the manufacturer's information for the curing and working times of 2-component adhesive.
- Apply sealant to the C-pillar reinforcement section (1) (area E).
- Install sidewall paneling section (2), fit, and fix in place.

Inert gas weld in intervals and allow to cool down in between. Reduces heat distortion.
- Grind shielding gas welds and shielding gas spot welds down flat.
- Clean weld joints.
- Restore surfaces on sidewall paneling and smooth.
- Remove shavings.
