Detach Inner And Outer Rear Wheel Well - Ar63.10-S-0685-01E

- Mark separating point on C-pillar (1) and cut (area A).
Do not make the cuts too deep.
Otherwise the components below can be damaged and weakened.
- Expose spot welds on C-pillar (1) and cut out (areas B and I).
- Heat C-pillar (1) in crosshatched areas (areas J and K).
Crosshatched areas are bonded.
- Expose spot welds on inner side wall (2), outer rear wheel well (3) and inner rear wheel well (4) and cut out (areas L to O).
Cut out spot weld (arrow) through two panel thicknesses.
- Mark separating points on inner side wall (2) and cut (areas P and Q).
Do not cut too deeply.
Otherwise the components below can be damaged and weakened.
- Expose spot welds on inner side wall (2), outer rear wheel well (3), rear reinforcement (5) and front reinforcement (6) and cut out (areas R to U).
Cut out spot welds (arrows) through two panel thicknesses.
- Remove damaged C-pillar (1), inner side wall (2), outer rear wheel well (3), inner rear wheel well (4), rear reinforcement (5) and front reinforcement (6).
- Sand down mating surfaces to bare metal in crosshatched areas.
Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.
- Remove shavings and drill chips.
- Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.
Do not coat bonding surfaces with zinc dust paint (area V).
Otherwise there may be adhesion problems.
Observe pretreatment of bonding surface (area V).
- Sand down mating surfaces to bare metal in crosshatched areas.
Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.
- Remove shavings and drill chips.
- Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.
