Press the brake pedal firmly several times.
If brake system has been bled.

This sets the correct play between the brake disks and brake linings.

Check inner leaktightness
Depress brake pedal firmly and hold in depressed position.
The pressure must be maintained without it being possible to depress the brake pedal further.

Check outer leaktightness
1. Model 447 with engine 254, 274, 622, 651, 654
  Model 448
  
  Firmly press the brake pedal with the engine running.
  
  The high boost provided by the brake booster with the engine running causes the brake pedal to slowly yield.
2. Model 447 with engine 780
  Firmly press the brake pedal with the engine operational.
  
  The high boost provided by the brake booster with the electric vacuum pump running causes the brake pedal to slowly yield.

  Model 448
  
  Stop the engine and switch off the ignition.
2. Model 447 with engine 780
  Switch off ignition.
Check all connections for leaks.
