- Clean rear window.
When reusing rear window, remove remaining adhesive. Do not leave more than 1 mm, remove loose glue residues (not completely cut off). This prevents leaks.
- Primer onto connecting flanges that are no longer accessible after installing side roof paneling.
Do not apply primer on top of residual adhesive. Otherwise, the adhesive effect will be impaired.
- Remove protective foil side rubber spacers.
- Apply glue to inside of rear window.
Install rear window within 5 min. Otherwise the adhesive effect may be impaired.
Distance (a) between edge of rear window (3) and center of adhesive bead approx. 15 mm. Height (b) of adhesive bead approx. 10 mm.
- Install rear window with cup suction tool, align and press on.
One side window must be open. This prevents the newly installed rear window from being pressed outwards by the air pressure when the door is closed before the bond has completely cured.
