	Clean
1	Clean bonding surfaces on model badge (1) or Mercedes star (4)	The bonding surface must be dry, free of dust and grease. Otherwise the adhesive force on the model badge (1) or Mercedes star (4) is not ensured. Cleaner	*BR00.45-Z-1025-04A
	Install model designation
2	Mask model badge (1) with adhesive tape (2)	To fasten individual letters and numbers of model badge (1).
3	Attach adhesive tape to liftgate (5) according to dimensions	Adhesive tape serves as installation aid.
4	Heat liftgate (5) in area of bonding surface on model badge (1) to approx. 40°C
5	Remove carrier foil (3)	The individual letters and numbers on the model badge (1) must be fastened on the adhesive strips (2).
6	Align corresponding model badge (1) according to liftgate (5) and glue on	Glue on model badge (1) only at a room temperature of approx. 20°C. Otherwise adhesion problems may occur.
7	Remove adhesive tape (2) from model badge (1)
8	Remove adhesive tape to position model badge (1) from liftgate (5)
9	Mark center axis on liftgate (5) on adhesive strips to position Mercedes star (4) (arrow M)
10	Glue adhesive strips (6) to Mercedes star (4) in lower area as shown
11	Extend tip of Mercedes star (4) downward to adhesive strips (6) and mark correspondingly (arrow N)
12	Heat bonding surface on Mercedes star (4) to approx. 40°C
13	Remove carrier foil from Mercedes star (4)
14	Align Mercedes star (4) on liftgate (5) and glue on	Glue on Mercedes star (4) only at a room temperature of approx. 20°C. Otherwise adhesion problems may occur. The extension of the upper tip should be flush with the center axis marked on the adhesive strips (6) (arrows M, N).
15	Remove adhesive tape to position Mercedes star (4) on liftgate (5) and adhesive strips (6)
	Clean
16	Remove bonding residues from liftgate (5)	Cleaner	*BR00.45-Z-1025-04A
