Notice	Notes on carrying out repair work in the vehicle interior		AH68.00-D-0001-01KOS
	Remove/install
1	Detach sealing frame on corresponding sliding door in working area	Ensure that sealing frame is seated correctly on sliding door.
2	Unclip door sill (1) starting at rear, pivot out below B-pillar paneling and remove	Model 447.8, 448.8 except code C74 (Illuminated Mercedes-Benz lettering on door sill) Ensure that door sill (1) is seated correctly. Check mounting clips (arrows) for damage. Long wedge If mounting clips are damaged ↓ Replace corresponding mounting clips	Fig 1
3	Unclip door sill (1) starting at rear, pivot out below B-pillar paneling and lift until electrical connector (2) is accessible	Model 447.8, 448.8 with code C74 (Illuminated Mercedes-Benz lettering on door sill) Ensure that wiring harness and electrical connector (2) are routed correctly. Ensure that door sill (1) is seated correctly. Long wedge	Fig 1
4	Disconnect electrical connector (2) and remove door sill (1)	Model 447.8, 448.8 with code C74 (Illuminated Mercedes-Benz lettering on door sill) Check mounting clips (arrows) for damage. If mounting clips are damaged ↓ Replace corresponding mounting clips
5	Install in the reverse order
	Check
6	Check whether illumination of door sill (1) functions properly	Model 447.8, 448.8 with code C74 (Illuminated Mercedes-Benz lettering on door sill)
