- Shim rear headliner (1) or front headliner (2) in area to be processed with suitable spacers (e.g. foam rubber or Styrofoam pads).
Do not use hard or sharp-edged objects as spacers. Otherwise the cover on the rear headliner (1) or front headliner (2) may be damaged.
- Make required cutouts (1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6, 1.7, 1.8, 1.9, 1.10 or. 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4) according to prepunched cutting lines using suitable tool (e.g. hacksaw blade).
Depending on vehicle equipment.
Make appropriate cutouts (1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6, 1.7, 1.8, 1.9, 1.10 or 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4) inside prepunched cutting lines.

Make cutout (1.1) for rear air conditioning/rear heater control and operating unit along inner edge of preinstalled bracket.
- Cut rear headliner (1) or front headliner (2) based on prepunched cutting lines (A, B, C, D, E) with a suitable tool (e.g. hacksaw blade).
Depending on vehicle equipment.
- Cut rear headliner (1) and front headliner (2) according to cutting lines (F, G) with suitable tool (e.g. hacksaw blade).
Depending on vehicle equipment.
The cutting lines (F, G) are not preembossed on the corresponding new part. Transfer cutting lines (F, G) according to old part.

Make cutout on front headliner (2) along cutting line (H) with a suitable tool (e.g. hacksaw blade).
Observe dimensions (I, J, K).

Make cutout on front headliner (2) along cutting line (L) with a suitable tool (e.g. round file).
Observe dimensions (M, N, O).
The reference edge (arrow) for the dimension (M) is the cutout for the headliner.
